Jellux, an advanced marine lighting company, was founded in 2014 by Nick Laude and Zachary Taylor. In Wells, Maine, Jellux produces waterproof, impact resistant LED outdoor lighting systems with a "plug and play" feature for ease of use and installation. Their lighting systems have unlimited applications; vehicles, marinas, docks, patios and restaurants and are found from Maine to Florida. With their flagship product, the LED dock bumper, Jellux is setting out on an endeavor to make your shores safer!

The Afari, the flagship product of Mobility Technologies, is designed to make outdoor walking and running both comfortable and safe. Exercise is a well known remedy for a number of physical impairments and rehab, even in small doses. Mobility Technologies wants everybody to be able to exercise and enjoy the outdoors, and the Afari is the first in a line of outdoor products, with others currently under development. Ryan, a lifelong entrepreneur and engineer, and CEO of Mobility Technologies, leads a team experienced with product development, marketing, and disabilities studies.

Bob Montgomery Rice
Robert “Bob” Montgomery-Rice, President and CEO of Bangor Savings Bank, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Human Resources Management Certificate from the University of Maine. Prior to joining Bangor Savings Bank in 2004, he held roles at Fidelity, CambridgePort Bank, BankBoston and Baybank.

Montgomery-Rice is a Leadership Maine Alumnus, Rho Class and sits on Maine Development Foundation’s Leadership Maine Advisory Committee. He is an appointed member of the Maine Broadband Task Force, a member of the Maine State Chamber Board and Maine Economic Research Institute (MERI), The Bangor Historical Society Board of Directors, and is the Chairman of the Maine Bankers’ Association Creditor/Benefit Trust.

Mary Baumgartner
Mary Baumgartner is the President at GarrandPartners, a fully integrated marketing communications firm in Portland, Maine. Prior to GarrandPartners, Mary led HBO’s Digital Initiatives team, transforming into one of the most respected and emulated online platforms in the industry, oversaw Client services at Ross Roy/NY, worked at Grey Direct and FoxMMJM and started her career as a Management Consultant for Carmichael & Co. In her free time, Mary moderates a council of customer experience leaders in the interactive space for Collaborative Gain.

John Karp
John Karp is an Engineer by training and a technology manager for over 15 years. John has held such positions as Engineering Manager at Navtec, a company which designs and builds mast support structure and high pressure hydraulics for the most sophisticated sailing yachts in the world. He also served as General Manager of Syris Scientific, a Harvard University Medical School spinout product taking Syris from a startup state into a successful multi-national medical device development and marketing concern. John has also assisted many companies in attaining financing and has written business plans for companies up to $10 million in sales. Also an avid inventor and serial entrepreneur, John has several patents to his credit.

His most recent effort was a 5 year period as CEO for a turnaround of Bourgeois Guitars. Paying off all corporate debt earlier than terms required, John has now transitioned to the role of consultant, shareholder and Board Member of Bourgeois, as well as part time Entrepreneur in Residence for the Maine Technology Institute, sponsored by a unique arrangement between the Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership and Maine Department of Economic and Community Development.
